Leadership & Organizational Structure
How Scripture Union Ahoada Area is organized for ministry.
Scripture Union (Nig.) Ahoada Area operates a clearly defined leadership structure built on the principle of servant leadership, following the biblical model of leadership upheld by Scripture Union.
Our structure consists of three main levels:
1. Group Level
The group is the grassroots unit of Scripture Union. Ahoada Area currently has 54 Pilgrims Fellowships, each governed by a Committee of Leaders headed by the Group President, alongside departmental leaders who oversee various aspects of the fellowship's ministry.
2. Zonal Level
The 54 groups are organised under seven zones, each governed by a Zonal Committee of Leaders headed by the Zonal Representative. The zones provide oversight, guidance, and support to the groups under their care.
3. Area Level
The seven zones report to the Area Committee of Leaders, headed by the Area Chairman. The Area provides overall leadership, direction, and coordination of the ministry across its coverage.
At every level, leaders are responsible for pastoral care, spiritual growth, ministry coordination, and effective reporting of activities, ensuring accountability and the smooth execution of Scripture Union's mission.
Our Staff Structure
Alongside the volunteer leadership structure, Ahoada Area operates a staff system responsible for the day to day coordination and execution of the ministry's programmes and activities.
The staff structure comprises:
- Missionaries
- Associate Travelling Secretaries (ATS)
- Permanent School Visitors
- Bookshop Staff
- Administrative Staff
The entire staff team is headed by the Travelling Secretary (TS), who provides ministry leadership, staff supervision, and administrative coordination.
Together, the volunteer leadership and staff structures work to advance Scripture Union's mission of reaching children, young people, and families with God's Word, nurturing spiritual growth, and raising godly leaders.
